The United States Mint has released its Circulating Coin Production Report for April 2024. The report shows that the United States Mint produced just 368.2 million coins in April, its second lowest monthly production since December 2023, and the lowest total for April in five years. The United States Mint will begin sales of the 2024-W American Buffalo proof gold coin starting next week. Sales will begin at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific on June 13th. The production limits as been set at 16,000 by the Mint, but there is no household limit on the number of coins that can be purchased. The United States Mint will open sales of the 2024-W American Eagle gold and silver uncirculated coins later this week. Sales of the West Point uncirculated one-ounce coins will open at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific. As usual, sales are expected to be strong for both coins, particularly the silver Eagle.
