2023 Morgan and 2023 Peace Dollar Subscriptions Have Limited Availability

According to the United States Mint’s website, the various subscription programs for the upcoming 2023 Morgan and 2023 Peace Dollar now have limited availability. The subscription programs were announced in July 2022, and all five scheduled products have subscription plans available. Given the popularity of these coins in 2021, it is hardly surprising that this year’s releases will be in high demand. The United States Mint has updated its daily bullion sales report through Sunday, January 22, 2023. The bullion sales report reflects bullion American Eagle and American Buffalo coins that the Mint sold to Authorized Purchasers for the previous week and is different than the weekly numismatic product report. The United States Mint has released its Circulating Coin Production Report for December 2022, showing that 846.5 million coins were produced for circulation across the nation’s Mint facilities. The total production is the lowest of any month in 2022, not uncommon for the final two months of any calendar year as the Mint prepares for next year’s coin production. In a Press Release yesterday, the United States Mint announced that it has begun shipments of the first American Women Quarter of 2023, honoring Bessie Coleman. The coins, honoring the historic pilot is now being shipped from the Philadelphia and Denver Mint locations to the Federal Reserve. From there, the coins will be distributed to banks for circulation.
