United States Mint Bullion Sales Report – August 22, 2021

The United States Mint has updated its daily bullion sales report to Sunday, August 22, 2021. The bullion sales report reflects bullion coins that the Mint sold to Authorized Purchasers for the previous week and is different than the weekly numismatic product report. This week’s report shows that the Mint sold 885,500 products to Authorized Purchasers last week. This total is down from the 1.0365 million product sold according to last week’s report.

As is normally the case for the Bullion Sales report, the one ounce silver American Eagle was the top seller to A.P.’s last week. 824,000 of the coins were purchased, putting the total sales for 2021 at 21,415,500. That sales total continues the strong sales pace for the year and easily puts the 30 million coins sold last year within reach. Meanwhile, the gold one ounce American Eagle also enjoyed strong sales last week. 28,500 of the gold Eagles were purchased last week, putting its sales total for the year at 717,500.

In the past week, the Mint also reported sales of fractional American Eagles to Purchasers. 21,000 1/2 ounce American Eagles were sold last week along with 10,000 1/10th ounce Eagles. Indeed the only fractional Eagle that did not have any sales last week was the 1/25th ounce coin.

There were no platinum American Eagle sales registered last week by the United States Mint.

Finally, the American Buffalo gold bullion coin added slightly to its sales total with 2,000 coins sold last week. That puts the 2021 sales total for the one ounce coin at 226,500.

Here is a complete rundown of sales for the last week by the United States Mint.
