The Numismatic Crime Information Center (NCIC) has reported the theft of a rare 1871 Seated Liberty Dollar that is PCGS grade PF-65+. The coin, valued at well over $4000 thanks to its high grade and CAC designation, was apparently taking by a “porch pirate”. The United States Mint has updated its daily bullion sales report through to this morning, Monday, March 1, 2021. Overall the Mint sold 402,000 bullion coins in the previous week, the bulk of those being the American Eagle silver bullion coin.
