The United States Mint has updated its daily bullion sales report through Sunday, January 22, 2023. The bullion sales report reflects bullion American Eagle and American Buffalo coins that the Mint sold to Authorized Purchasers for the previous week and is different than the weekly numismatic product report. David W. Lange, famed numismatist who served as the Director of Research for Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) has passed aged 64. Mr. Lange succumbed to cancer on January 16, 2023 after a three-year battle with the disease. Mr. Lange began collecting in 1964, drawn to Lincoln Cents and Buffalo Nickels. The United States Mint has released its Circulating Coin Production Report for December 2022, showing that 846.5 million coins were produced for circulation across the nation’s Mint facilities.
