Federal Reserve Bank Has Over 1 Billion Dollar Coins in Inventory

In its latest quarterly report, the Federal Reserve System (or the Federal Bank) reports that it now has over 1 billion dollar coins in inventory. While the number is staggeringly high, it is down slightly from the second quarter of 2020. Currently, the United States’ central bank has 1.011 billion dollar coins in inventory. The North Carolina American Innovation Dollar, the last of this year’s releases, will be available starting next week. Sales will begin at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific on October 12th. The coin will be available in both bags of 100 coins from Denver and Philadelphia as well as 25-coin rolls from the same two Mint facilities. United States Mint Releases Line Art of 2022 American Innovation Dollar Coins

The United States Mint has released the line art for the 2022 American Innovation Dollar coins. Four coins in the series are set to be released in 2022 honoring Kentucky, Tennessee, Vermont, and Rhode Island. Introduced in 2018, the American Innovation Dollar will consist of 57 coins.
