In an unannounced change to the production schedule, the United States Mint is set to begin sales of the 2022 Purple Heart Hall of Honor Commemoratives. The commemoratives had originally been slated for release in January but were postponed to a “TBD” date before the beginning of 2022. The United States Mint will begin sales of the first American Innovation Dollar for 2022 starting next week. The new American Innovation Dollar honors Rhode Island, specifically naval architect Nathanael Herreshoff’s Reliance yacht. The Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) has released the candidate images for the 2023 American Liberty High Relief 24-karat gold coin and silver medal.
