The medal is set for release on February 14th and honors the 11th President of the United States. James Polk served as President from 1845 to 1849. The United States Mint has updated its daily bullion sales report for American Eagle and American Buffalo bullion coins. This summary report provides sales details through Sunday, January 16, 2022. The United States Mint has released its weekly numismatic sales report for the seven day period ending on Sunday, January 9, 2022. The 2021 final report of circulating coin production by the United States Mint is now available. The report shows that the Mint produced 953 million coins in December and for the year, nearly 14.5 billion coins for circulation. This is down slightly from the 14.7 billion coins produced by the Mint in 2020. It is also a decline in production from the November 2021 report.
