The United States Mint has published their weekly sales report for the 7-day period ending July 21, 2019. As was the case last week, the Apollo 11 commemoratives continued to have strong sales for this latest report. Indeed the top seller for the Mint for the last week was the 2019 Apollo 11 Silver Proof. An impressive 8,636 were sold in the week, bringing the total number sold to 184,911. That still leaves over half of the 400,000 to be produced available (215,089 to be exact) so if you want to get one, you still have time. You can get it directly from the Mint’s site.
Coming in second this week in new sales was the 2019 Proof Set. Another 3,914 of the sets were sold for the week, bringing the total up to 370,570 for the year. The 2019 Proof Set, along with the 2019 Silver Proof Set, have been leading or at the top of the sales report for some weeks now, continuing their strong showing.
The third top seller was the 2019 Pride of Two Nations commemorative set. This two-coin set, with a American Eagle from the US Mint and a Silver Maple Leaf from the Royal Canadian Mint, added another 3,914 units to its total sales. That brings the total number sold to 98,622. That means only 1,378 of the 100,000 sets remain. Currently the set shows being unavailable after briefly going back on sale last week – but it only lasted for a few hours.
