Proof Morgan and Peace Dollar Subscriptions Close August 4th

In an email sent this morning, the United States Mint has announced that it is closing subscriptions for the proof Morgan and Peace Dollars will close at the end of this week. Enrollment will close on Friday, August 4th, after which the Mint will no longer accept subscriptions for either coin. Enrollment closes at 11:59 PM Eastern on Friday. The United States Mint will begin selling the United States Navy Bronze Medal next week. The 1.5-inch medal, bearing the same Obverse and Reverse designs as the Navy silver medal, will go on sale at Noon Eastern on August 8. The United States Mint has updated its daily bullion sales report through Sunday, July 30, 2023. The bullion sales report reflects bullion American Eagle and American Buffalo coins that the Mint sold to Authorized Purchasers for the previous week and is different than the weekly numismatic product report. The United States Mint has released its Circulating Coin Production Report for June 2023, showing that 1.29 billion coins were produced for circulation across the nation’s Mint facilities. Total mintage of the Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Washington Quarter, and Kennedy Half Dollar were down month-over-month compared to the May production report.
