The United States Mint has released the line art for the 2021 National Law Enforcement Memorial and Museum commemorative coins. These designs were selected from the candidate designs released by CCAC back in September. The United States Mint has released its weekly sales report for the seven day period ending December 20, 2020. This week’s report featured all four of the new Maryland American Innovation Dollar products released last week while annual sets from the Mint continued to be top sellers. The George H.W. & Barbara Bush Presidential Dollar Coin and First Spouse Medal Set will go on sale starting at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific on the Mint’s site. The United States Mint has changed their shipping options for signature-required shipments starting this month. In an email to the Numismatic press, the Mint announced that it was removing the option for signature-required shipments and will stop paying for the service all together with carriers. The report shows that annual sets and bullion products remain top sellers for the Mint this week with the newest product release taking the top seller’s position for the week. In its latest bullion sales report, the United States Mint is now reporting that over 30 million silver American Eagle bullion coins have been sold in 2020. That is well over double the amount sold in 2019. In total 30,089,500 ounces of silver American Eagles have been sold this year. The United States Mint has released its monthly production report for November 2020 to the public. The report shows that across the Denver and Philadelphia Mint locations, 1.165 billion coins were produced in the month, slight decrease from October’s report. In total, the Mint has produced nearly 14 billion coins in 2020.
